Louvre panel to Plant room – Commercial building Plaistow Hub

December, between cold and wet weather our job was on top of the building completing one of the 3 plant rooms for Weldrite in conjuction with Vistry Partnership at Plaistow Hub.

At the time of the article job is hand over to the client, few pictures from the work done can be seen below.

With a beautiful view Plaistow Hub have one of tallest buildings from East Side area, with a view to Canary Wharf , Liverpool street , Stratford, between this there is nothing to obturate the view.

Soffits to Communal Centre for Vistry Partnership at Plaistow Hub

Plaistow Hub is one of our largest developments so far – providing 182 one, two and three bedroom homes, all for private rent, and a new community hub around Plaistow Underground Station. It consists of two elements: London Road, next to the station, providing 100 new homes over 23 floors, and Valetta Grove, offering 82 homes to rent over 15 floors. With stunning views across the city from the upper floors and direct access to a new local centre, with a library, supermarket, gym and café, it will be a new hub for the neighbourhood. The homes will be available for rent by Summer 2023. The Plaistow Hub project is also helping to fund 112 affordable homes across Newham.

Vistry Partnerships will deliver for Populo Living its Plaistow Hub regeneration project – a £62m mixed-use residential led scheme in Plaistow, East London.

MArt Build in conjunction with Weldrite Ltd installed soffit panels to Communal centre main entrance to Supermaket area.

Mart build will carry on the same building to install Roof Plant Room also will help with balcony brackets to Valleta Grove 23 story and London Road building-13 story.

Edward Street Quarter’s exteriors revealed

New photos reveal the first look at our bricked exterior as scaffolding comes down across the site,

Our £140 million build on Edward Street in central Brighton is set to complete this summer, delivering 168 new homes and 125,000 sq ft of Grade A office space, as well as 20,000 sq ft of leisure,

The development offers one, two and three-bedroom apartments – many with outside space and all with access to an impressive panoramic roof terrace and private garden for residents only.

“Taking down scaffolding is always a highly-anticipated part of any development process – you can see the brickwork and it provides the first real glimpse as to how the building will look when complete.

“We were determined for Edward Street Quarter to go above and beyond expectations which is why we have incorporated elements such as our exclusive roof terrace for our residential apartments, three public art sculptures, two public squares, an app to bring the community together, an exemplary cycle scheme to encourage healthy living and so much more.”

Edward Street Quarter delivers more than £15m of local benefits

Edward Street Quarter has delivered £15.2m worth of social and economic benefits to Brighton & Hove since construction began in 2019.

Developers Socius and builders McLaren have worked closely to deliver an ongoing social value action plan, which focuses on delivering local employment and training opportunities and community support.

This has included spending nearly £12m with local companies, as well as support for neighbouring schools and community projects.

Brighton’s newest neighbourhood Edward Street Quarter employs the full time equivalent of 87 local people on annual contracts at the £140m redevelopment of the site.

In total 125 young people have been provided with mentoring and careers advice and 100 local people have had the chance to attend industry accredited training courses.

And ten apprenticeships have been delivered in drylining, bricklaying, site management, plumbing, carpentry, civil engineering and training to be an electrician.

Training has also been provided in areas including plant and logistics, for example leading to five local people receiving harness and working at height accreditation, while a further four local people have qualified as hoist passenger and goods operators.

Site supervision was another area where local people received training, with three local people working towards NVQ Level 4 in Construction Site Supervision, while five local people are working towards NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management.

Harlequin Brickwork supplyed brick and ACS support for McLaren – main contractor appointed as principal contractor for Edward Street Quarter, a mixed-use development that will deliver 170,000 sqft of Grade A offices, alongside space for independent coffee shops and restaurants. The project will also include 168 new homes, comprising a mix of private and affordable units to meet local demand.

Upskilling has also been a focus with eight people currently being upskilled in bricklaying to NVQ Level 2 and 12 people receiving training in bricklaying to NVQ Level 3.

Ongoing Project

Located in the centre of Bracknell, the new scheme forms part of the wider £240m regeneration that is taking place in the town centre. 

Amber House will comprise a mixed-use scheme consisting of 193 high-specification affordable homes set across the development, alongside 350 m2 of additional commercial space and a boulevard of communal amenities including shops, restaurants and leisure facilities on the ground floor.
